Wrestling Events To Look Forward To This Weekend (9/10/2026-11/10/2026)
Updated: 2 days ago
There are plenty of wrestling events to look forward to this weekend! Let's preview them now!
Friday, 9th October:
The main feature of Fridays is always WWE's Friday Night Smackdown and this week (like most) we have minimal stuff announced although it is the Go Home Show for Money In The Bank so expect stars from Raw to also be popping by before the night that can change a career one step at a time! Here is everything announced for Smackdown so far:

There is also a Dark Six Man Tag Team Match pitting LA Knight, Seth Rollins & Solo Sikoa vs. 946 (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price & Royce Keys) for those in attendance!
Alternatively, If you happen to find yourself in the Komatsu, Ishikawa, Japan area you can enjoy Road to KOPW 2026 Night 3 on this day too which although untelevised does feature Aaron Wolf, Hechicero & Masatora Yasuda vs. TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles & Zack Sabre Jr.) a stellar looking main event in Shingo Takagi & IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji vs Hartley Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa which is pretty tasty!

Also on Friday night, House of Glory present Salvation 2026 featuring The Mane Event (Jay Lyon & Midas Black) vs The Skywalkers (Jodi Aura & Raheem Royal), Tommy End & Xelina against Lio Rush & Shotzi, Tommaso Ciampa vs. Charles Mason in a Special Singles Match & a HOG Crown Jewel Title Match with Amazing Red defending against Marcus Mathers! The Motor City Machine Guns will also be in action!

Saturday, 10th October:
On Saturday, AEW will present the Grand Slam France Collision featuring The Young Bucks defending the AEW Tag Team Championships against The Dogs, The Conglomeration having a Mixed Fight In Paris against The Death Riders, "Le Maître Du Demi-Crabe" Michael Oku challenging Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Title (and finding out who is challenging at Wrestledream which you can read about here), Jericho vs Nick Wayne 2, Lee Moriarty vs Speedball Mike Bailey to see who joins Samoa Joe & Will Ospreay in the Clockwork Carnage match, a triple threat tag match to determine who will challenge The Brawling Birds at Wrestledream between Sisters of Sin, WrathLander and Divine Dominion with the champs on commentary and AEW World Trios Champion Swerve taking on Carlie Bravo!

Also on Saturday we get Money In The Bank 2026 which is STACKED!

In what I'm sure will be a very divisive match with an even more divisive result, Roman Reigns defends against LA Knight (YEAH!) with the World Heavyweight Title on the line! "The Megastar" has had fans clamouring for him to get a shot for quite some time now and WWE have finally (potentially) listened! Whether "The OTC" lays down for the count or not will impact a lot of fan reaction to him given how adored Knight is (or was a few years ago when the iron was hot) however I wouldn't be shocked if 946 debut a new member and get involved as that would be one hell of a mission statement! Perhaps the new member could be someone closer to the match than expected (I think it's LA Knight if you aren't catching my drift)!

Becky Lynch cost Liv Morgan the Women's Championship to Stephanie Vaquer as Special Guest Referee at a live event in Santiago, Chile (just a stone's throw from Vaquer's hometown of San Antonio, Valparaiso) which I find quite controversial given she simply just didn't count a three for Liv meaning she is in no way good in all this! We have Liv being pure evil, Stephanie as the goodie and Becky somewhere in the middle which should give this match some legs in the tension department!

First things first this is a pretty cool looking graphic which I give plaudits to as they aren't being boring like the majority of graphics (even though I have my fears its AI given the company making it). The Money In The Bank Ladder Match is always a blast to watch and a fun one to follow in the months after! I wonder if the winner will cash in on the same night like we usually get from one and if so I wonder which one will do it 🤔

This is the match I am probably looking forward to most on this card! 2 incredible big man wrestlers (one of which has slimmed down which for health reasons is probably good but scares me from an in-ring perspective as not everyone can do the WALTER to Gunther transition so only time will tell) bumping meat (shoutout Big E) in the centre of the squared circle! Unfortunately it's almost certain the Vision will be involved but hopefully we at least get Logan Paul getting thrown like a shot put by Oba as far out of WWE as we can physically get!
If all that wasn't enough for you on Saturday Game Changer Wrestling are hosting their annual Wargames at Fight Club Night 1 pitting Team VNDL48 against Team GCW! Other highlights of the card for Night 1 include the Cowboy Way vs Charles Mason & Slade as well as KJ Orso & Sam Stackhouse defending their GCW Tag Team Championships against Bustah & The Brain!

Also on Saturday if you happen to have a trip to Uonuma, Niigata, Japan on that day you are in luck as NJPW are doing another "house show" in the Road to KOPW 2026 with their Night 4 show which has the same main event as Night 3 pitting Shingo Takagi & IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji against Hartley Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa!

Finally, the National Wrestling League will be presenting their Matchweek 3 card featuring London Executioners vs Glasgow Hitmen, Midlands Destroyers vs Manchester Maniacs & Yorkshire Titans vs North East Outlaws! The intriguing concept has 2 matches for each of the pairings with the main event pitting Glasgow Hitmen's Gallus members Wolfgang & Mark Coffey against the London Executioners' Sha Samuels & Levi Muir! Their website has also had a makeover so have a look at that: https://thenationalwrestlingleague.com/
Sunday, 11th October:

Whilst this is the sole match announced thus far for RevPro Live In Sheffield you can always expect top quality action from them (with cards announced about 3 minutes before doors for some reason)! This match is no exception and is also quite unpredictable! Top Tier may be very hateable but they're very good in the tag game (and if someone is better they simply cheat to win) whereas GYV are former RevPro Tag Champions and the current Maple Leaf Wrestling Tag Champs won just 5 days ago as of writing!

Whilst GCW are putting on their Fight Club 2026 Night 2 event featuring matches such as The Mane Event (Jay Lyon & Midas Black) vs. Controlled Kaos (Kid Kaos & Papa Juice) vs. Cowboy Way (1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire) vs. VNDL48 (Christian Napier & Otis Cogar), Joey Janela vs. Marko Stunt, Gary Wolf vs. Jimmy Lloyd, Nick Gage vs. Jamesen Shook, Charles Mason vs. Kylie Alexa, Conor Claxton vs. SLADE & Nick Gage vs. Marcus Mathers all of the eyes will be on the GCW World Championship's future as Brett Lauderdale addresses the "incident" (if you can even call it that as it was a simple accident) between current champion Joseph Sawyer and Jeffrey John which Atticus Cogar used to attempt to reclaim the GCW Championship! It's all become a bit of a mess with Sawyer pulling out of his defence against Atticus Cogar with less than 3 hours to go before showtime and no-showing the venue before tweeting:
There's a lot I could say....there's a lot I should say....... There's a lot that people do not know. And maybe one day that'll come out but honestly not my place right now. I was deceived and that's fine. I've been honest through out. But keep on pushing and I swear I'll spill it all 👍
Whatever you think of the situation I think we could do with getting this all cleared up quickly as Atticus Cogar was a good champion since he was there week in and week out and Joseph Sawyer likely isn't going to be welcomed back as a goodie (and probably won't want to be back) so the solution seems quite simple!
Across the pond APC Catch are hosting APC Endgame with the main 2 matches being Rhio challenging JGU for the APC Women's Championship Match and Kuro challenging Big Dawg MECCA for the APC World Championship!

Finally, on Sunday, we will see TNA present Bound For Glory 2026 which is headlined by Leon Slater challenging for the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth! Slater won the X-Division Championship back when he defeated Cedric Alexander at TNA Lockdown in the mental stipulation of a Last Man Standing Match of Cedric Alexander's TNA X-Division Title Vs. Leon Slater's TNA X-Division Title Reign Record inside a Steel Cage! Not an hour after winning the belt, Slater walked up to Nic Nemeth after he teamed with his brother Ryan Nemeth to win the TNA Tag Team Championships off of the Hardy Boyz inside of the Steel Cage! On behalf of everyone in the UK (and quite possibly the world) I want to say... COME ON LEON!!!
