NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2026 Live Results

NJPW presents King of Pro Wrestling 2026 live from the Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Ryogoku, Kokugikan with a main event of the IWGP Heavyweight Champion "Gene Blast" Yota Tsuji defending against "The Grip" Ryohei Oiwa!

Shingo Takagi (O) & Daiki Nagai def. Hirooki Goto & Tatsuya Matsumoto (X) by Modified Death Rider

After the match, Jon Moxley appeared on screen and announced he is coming back to NJPW which prompted Goto to ask for a match against him! I'd like that a lot!

Hontai (Yuya Uemura, Taichi (O) & El Desperado) def. House of Torture (SANADA, Yujiro Takahashi (X) & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) by Black Mephisto

El Desperado's knee appears to have been damaged as he limped off after the match to the trainer's room to be evaluated! Here's hoping he is OK as he is a cracking Junior wrestler with the tag league around the corner :(

Hechicero & Boltin Oleg (O) def. Zack Sabre Jr & Hartley Jackson (X) by Kamikaze

It appears Zack wanted a shot at Hechicero's CMLL Heavyweight Championship which he will most likely still get but it'll be a slightly harder sell for him now he took the L!

Konosuke Takeshita & Toru Yano (O) def. Ren Narita & Shun Skywalker (X) by Low Blow Rollup

Toru Yano is gonna be the face of television!!!

We're now in the title portion of the evening as every match from now will be for gold!

Yuto-Ice, OSKAR (O) & Jeff Cobb def. United Empire (Will Ospreay, HENARE (X) & Great-O-Khan) to WIN the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Titles

Callum Newman had United Empire cheat but it ended up hurting more than it helped!

After the match Newman took OSKAR's leg out with a sword before Ospreay stopped the beatdown and congratulated Yuto-Ice before asking for a Heavyweight Tag Title Shot on November 3rd but who is his partner going to be?! Yuto-Ice has demanded to choose the tag partner and if Ospreay wants a shot it's going to be Callum Newman he teams with! 😱

Aaron Wolf def. Kosei Fujita with a Northern Lights Bomb to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship

Good stuff from the lads I say! It's a shame Big Fuj didn't get the win but Wolf is one hell of a champ!

Gabe Kidd def. Shota Umino by Second Chapter to retain the IWGP Global Championship

My dog, Bruno, watching fellow Dogs member Gabe Kidd wrestle to make sure there is no funny business going on

This was another beautiful little match with Gabe at one point locking in the Brutalizer to pay tribute to his fallen brother which got me a little bit! If Shota didn't win there though I genuinely don't think he will be a IWGP champion ever again!

After the match, Gabe grabbed a mic and asked who was next to which nobody answered so Gabe threw the title down and walked away before Taichi picked it up and the match was made official for November 3rd's Power Struggle in Hiroshima!

YOH def. Robbie Eagles by Bridging Rollup for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

TMDK once again lose tonight! It's not looking good for our main event!

Yota Tsuji def Ryohei Oiwa by Gene Blast to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship

After the match, Tsuji grabbed a mic and talked Oiwa up big time! THEN KENNY OMEGA APPEARS ON SCREEN TO CHALLENGE HIM FOR THE GOLD!

Boltin Oleg then confronted Tsuji for the gold before Kenny Omega appeared in person hitting the One Winged Angel onto the champ!
